Sure Antennas offer a bespoke OEM antenna modification service, which allows you to incorporate critical communication functions into your vehicle's OEM antenna. This is designed for covert vehicles requiring complete anonymity.
We offer two different modification options, Supply & Modify and Modify Only, and below is some more information about both processes.
Supply & Modify
This option involves us purchasing an OEM antenna and then modifying it to your requirements. As we need to purchase parts from a supplier, this option has an added cost. However, you will be able to simply swap out the OEM antenna with our modified critical comms OEM antenna. If you needed to sell on the vehicle after it has served it's purpose, this would be a much simpler solution.
Additionally, this is a much more favoured choice for customers based outside of the UK due to higher shipping costs and convenience.
Modify Only
The modify only option requires the customer to send the antenna to our HQ for modification by our engineers. This is a more cost effective option than Supply & Modify and does not involve any added lead times from our suppliers.
Please also note that any shipping costs for sending the antenna to us are at the responsibility of the customer.
The Process
Before we are able to quote the customer for the modification, we require images of the antenna to decipher whether it is something we can definitely modify. You will need to send images of the antenna and its underside as shown in the example above.
You also need to state the following specifications:
- Which functions you require.
- Whether you would like to retain the OEM functions of your antenna.
- The maximum power output required (W)
