Continuing to Supply Local Police with Futureproof Vehicle Antenna Solutions

Marked vehicles 

For their marked vehicle fleet, the force required an Antenna system that supported more communications equipment in the vehicle such as 4G/5G mobile data in addition to their existing dual-band antenna for TETRA GPS. To meet this requirement Sure Antennas utilised an 8 in 1 Mallard Antenna which was chosen due to its high-performance capabilities in supporting Airwave (TETRA) communication systems in addition to 4G/5G. These antennas are designed to ensure reliable and uninterrupted communication, crucial for emergency service operations.

No-Drill Fitting Kits

Additionally the force requested the least invasive way to install the antenna, in other words preventing drilling holes in the vehicle. To satisfy this requirement Sure Antennas utilised a No- Drill fitting Kit which helps maintain the integrity of the vehicles while ensuring optimal antenna placement for enhanced signal reception by utilising the roof Antenna for critical comms and repositioning the OEM functions within the roof lining of the vehicle. Covert Antennas
For the fleet vehicles that are used for discreet and covert operations, the force wanted to maintain optimum performance whilst preserving complete anonymity.  By modifying the original factory-fitted antenna, Sure Antennas were able to keep the original look of the vehicle — a concealed installation without compromising performance which is often a side effect of other ‘covert’ solutions such as ‘on glass antennas’. The fleet now have modified car antennas from many different vehicle manufacturers, all with different shaped vehicle antennas.

Vehicle Intercom Systems
Sure Antennas also integrated half-duplex intercom systems into the police vans to facilitate seamless communication between officers and detainees in the cells in the back of the vehicle. This feature enhances officer safety and enables efficient management of detainees during transit so the officer can hear the detainee and vice versa. Sure Antennas half-duplex vehicle intercom system housed in a rugged aluminium case, uses discreet microphones, speakers, and a PTT button for secure and reliable communication.
