As well as manufacturing specialist vehicle antennas, another key product in Sure Antennas’ portfolio is the Vehicle Intercom System which is being used by Jack Hodson Ltd in one of their recent vehicle conversion projects.
Jack Hodson Ltd (JHL) are a Liverpool-based vehicle converter and have been operating for more than 60 years. They specialise in the conversion of Police Vehicles and provide fully-fitted vehicles to several forces across the UK.
We have worked with JHL for many years, supplying them with our specialist vehicle antenna solutions and TETRA accessories. This year, they have undertaken several projects requiring a secure and reliable vehicle intercom system, and they have opted for our market leading solution.
Front-to-Rear Intercom
Sure Antennas are able to supply different types of intercoms, however the one that JHL opted for was a Front-to-Rear System. As described in the title, the front pit of the vehicle is able to communicate information to the rear without the possibility of a response from rear to front. Applications where this solution is often used is in Police Vans & sometimes Ambulances.
The kit includes an intercom system interface, as well as speakers and is commonly used with our Push-to-talk (PTT) Button and several other TETRA accessories.
Other Projects with JHL
As well as the vehicle intercom systems, JHL have recently adopted the use of our ‘Sting’ Antenna as their preferred dual band solution. It is a durable antenna solution with IP69K certification against water & dust ingression, as well as featuring a flexible whip which reduces the risk of long-term damage.
