Sure Antennas are proud to supply Richell Vehicle Conversions (RVC), a blue and amber light vehicle converter based in Essex, with critical communications antennas for their fleet conversion projects.
RVC selected the ‘Mallard’ Antenna, a popular choice among vehicle converters due to its sleek, low-profile design and ability to combine multiple functions within a single unit.
Versatility in Vehicle Installations
The ‘Mallard’ can support up to 9 functions through a single installation hole. RVC have opted for several different configurations of the ‘Mallard’, ranging from the advanced 7-in-1 variant to a 3-in-1 combination. This flexibility demonstrates how the ‘Mallard’ is able to meet a wide range of installation requirements, from heavy data police vehicles to highway maintenance vehicles that do not require as much communication infrastructure.
Ready for the ESN Transition
As a future-proof solution, many variants of the ‘Mallard’ are compatible with existing Airwave systems while also being ESN-ready. This ensures that once the ESN transition takes place, there will be no need to replace the antenna, as it already incorporates the functions required for long-term critical communications.
Beyond functionality, Sure Antennas have also supplied RVC with antennas in different colour finishes. While black and white are available as standard, we also offer a paint matching service to a vehicle’s specific colour code. This option is particularly valuable for unmarked vehicles where maintaining a discreet appearance is essential.
