Sure Antennas’ ESN antenna shown on the new Vauxhall Astra at NAPFM 2016

Sure Antennas was happy to collaborate with Vauxhall Motors at the recent NAPFM 2016 event where they showed our ESN multi-function antenna.

This low profile antenna which supports ten functions features three separate wideband LTE/cellular elements has been designed for future emergency services vehicles and was shown on Vauxhall’s new Astra Sports Tourer at the exhibition (June 7-8).

Vauxhall was using the antenna to transmit video from the car on the stand at the show in Telford, via the ESN antenna to a separate show in Glasgow, demonstrating the possibilities of the latest video technology and how it could be used by the emergency services.

Vauxhall described the concept of the antenna as ‘fantastic’ and said it was generating interest.

Future plans to modify the antenna include adding a satellite antenna for emergency vehicles in areas with limited or no 4G coverage.

Vauxhall Special Vehicles have a new flexible production facility at Luton which offers a ‘one-stop shop’ for emergency services.
